Hungerburgbahn has 4 stations: Congress, Löwenhaus, Alpine zoo and Hungerburg station. The stop designs were developed by Zaha Hadid (another of her works is a springboard on mount Bergisel). The architect has created a station that simulates frozen in the movement of the ice mass. The last stop is at an altitude of 860 meters. All trains are equipped for the convenience of skiers and snowboarders.
The nearest ski recreation area to Innsbruck — Nordpark — starts from the funicular's Terminus, but even non-athletes will be interested in taking a ride on the funicular-there are stunning views of the city and its surroundings. The duration of the entire trip in one direction is about 25 minutes, and between the last two stations, the funicular is shrouded in clouds, and passengers feel that they are flying above the ground.
